Biography: A Recollection of Marcella Sembrich, by H.
Goddard Owen, of Rutgers University in 1950. This is the only biography of Metropolitan
Opera Diva Marcella Sembrich, revealing by facts, photos and anecdotes, the life of one of
the world's greatest sopranos. This 1995 printing of 84 pages includes a 2nd printing
[1981] introduction by Philip L. Miller, Director of the Music Division of the New York
Public Library, plus a hardcover with jacket. Price $15. |

cassette collection, plus historical booklet. One cassette has six arias and 10 songs
recorded by Mme. Sembrich between 1906 - 1919. Time - 51 minutes. 2nd cassette has remarks
made in 1991 about Mme. Sembrich by a former student Katharine Homer Frier, who was the
daughter of Met contralto Louise Homer and composer Sidney Homer.
